Happy Mother's Day photo

Are you thinking that we skipped a few months somehow?

Maybe you’re like me and you wait until the last minute to think of creative ideas for gifts, especially for Mother’s Day. I’m thinking ahead this year! Yay! Planning to put together a Blurb book of some of the old photos that my mom recently gave me to organize.  There are so many priceless shots from the past 89 years of her life. She loves having images of family around her and this is a wonderful way to do that.

You may remember that I gave her a planner for Christmas with her photo on the front cover and my dad’s on the back cover. When I gave it to her, at first she thought it was a full photo book. She liked the planner, but I know she’d love a photo book even more. I also documented one of the girls’ trips that my sisters and I took with her a few years ago and she loved that.

These days, its so important to have something tangible to reflect on good times, sweet memories, or simply being creative. I am totally in love with making Blurb books for just about every occasion, whether it be a Mother’s Day book, birthday album, a cookbook, even your Instagram account can be converted into a Blurb book!

I have a list of several new books that I’ve been intending to make for a while and as if Blurb read my mind, they are offering 25% off purchases from 2/22-2/25/2013. Click on this link to save 25% when you use coupon code FLASH25OFF at checkout through February 25, 2013.

Do you have a memorable book project that you’ve been putting off?  If so, head over to Blurb now and tap into your creative side!

More Blurb Ideas…
If you would like some more ideas about what to use Blurb for, here are a few other perfect products Blurb allows you to create:

  • Of course Travel and Vacation Books are at the top of the list. This is a travel blog after all.
  • Facebook books that include photos, comments, and captions.
  • Capture a permanent record of your blog posts in a printed book.
  • Know someone getting married? Help them create a custom guest book to be signed at the wedding.
  • Planners with beautifully designed templates and your favorite photos.
  • Notebooks and journals that are filled with photos, can be lined or unlined, and full of plenty of white space for you to add notes, stories or sketches.
  • Plus you can turn your printed book or magazine into an ebook! This is a great way to share your creation with others.

Do you have other Mother’s Day or Blurb book ideas?  I’d love to hear them.
