Between now and December 31st, 2012 Paypal is offering price matching for airline tickets and other purchases.  If you take time to do some comparison shopping, this could add up to hefty savings for upcoming trips, travel-related items or holiday shopping.

How it Works:

  1. Use your PayPal account to purchase an eligible product.
  2. Find a lower price on the same item within thirty days of your purchase (7 days for airline tickets).
  3. Send a copy of your receipt, along with the advertisement, and the Money Back Request Form.
  4. For qualifying claims, you’ll receive a credit to your PayPal account balance.

Key Features:

  • 30-day price protection (up to $250 per item and $1000 maximum during the promotion period) when you use PayPal as your payment method
  • 7-day price protection on airplane tickets at the same airline
  • Covers eBay Buy It Now purchases of new items from top-rated sellers

In the case of airline tickets, you will be covered if:

  • The ticket is for the same flight (airline, date, and time)
  • The advertised price is available for purchase on the airline’s web page
  • The lower price for the ticket is available within 7 days of the initial ticket purchase
  • Airline tickets also have a $250 limit per ticket … and a $1000 annual limit. Multiple airline tickets purchased by you and your immediate family for the same flight will be treated as one item. (i.e. the maximum payment is $250 for all the tickets, not $250 for each ticket)
