My Travel Planning Experience

Are you feeling a bit unsure about where to go on your next trip or how to start the travel-planning process? Well, fear not! I’m here to share my travel experiences and insider tips that I’ve gathered as a professional travel planner. I’ve worked for several organizations planning trips for the people that I worked for. I’ve also had over 4 decades of my own adventures to plan.

Sometimes mapping out a road trip or knowing when to book flights or hotels can be tricky. I’ve made my share of mistakes over the years by trial and error and I learned so much so you don’t have to make the same mistakes. I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned about USA and Europe travel planning. The two regions can be very different for booking travel. I’ll help you see what the differences are.

Planning a Road Trip

USA map with route across the country marked from Chesapeake Virginia to Grants Pass Oregon Hanns' Grand Adventure USA Road Trip Map - travel planning for this was extensive.

Do you love road trips? Our longest road trip was more than two months long! You can see the map of Part 1 of the trip above. We started in Virginia, crossed the country to Oregon, then traveled south to Arizona. We’ve also planned short weekend road trips and everything in between. Since we’ve lived all over the U.S., I can help you with tips on how to avoid road trip planning disasters on your next road trip.

My goal is to help you overcome any hesitation in getting out of the house and on the road to step out of your comfort zone. You can learn what travel style fits you best, and prepare for your perfect trip like a pro. I’ll also share about unforgettable destinations to add to your travel bucket list. Some of my favorites are Washington DC, France, and the Southwest states.
